Teosco QSFP-SR4/eSR4 is designed to operate over multimode fiber systems using a nominal wavelength of 850nm. An optical fiber ribbon cable with an MTP/MPO connector can be plugged into the QSFP+ module receptacle. Electrical connection is achieved through a pluggable 38-pin connector. The optical transmitter portion of the transceiver incorporates a 4-channel VCSEL (Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser) array, a 4-channel input buffer and laser driver, diagnostic monitors, control and bias blocks. The optical receiver portion of the transceiver incorporates a 4-channel PIN photodiode array, a 4-channel TIA array, a 4 channel output buffer, diagnostic monitors, and control and bias blocks. The product is designed with form factor, optical/electrical connection and digital diagnostic interface according to the QSFP+ Multi-Source Agreement (MSA). The module offers very high functionality and feature integration, accessible via a two-wire serial interface.
