40G QSFP+ ZR4 80km

Teosco QSFP-ZR4 is a transceiver module designed for up to 80km optical communication applications. The design is compliant to 40GBASE-ZR4 of the IEEE 802.3ba standard. The module converts 4 inputs channels of 10Gbps electrical data to 4 LAN WDM optical signals, and multiplexes them into a single channel for 40Gbps optical transmission. Reversely, on the receiver side, the module optically de-multiplexes a 40Gbps input into 4 LAN WDM 10Gbps channels signals, and converts them to 4 channel output electrical data. The central wavelengths of the 4 LAN WDM channels are 1295.56, 1300.05, 1304.58 and 1309.14nm as members of the LAN WDM wavelengths grid defined in IEEE 802.3ba. The high performance cooled LAN WDM EML transmitters and high sensitivity APD receivers provide superior performance for 40Gigabit Ethernet applications up to 80km links. It contains a duplex LC connector for the optical interface and a 38-pin connector for the electrical interface. To minimize the optical dispersion in the long-haul system, single-mode fiber (SMF) has to be used. The product is designed with form factor, optical/electrical connection and digital diagnostic interface according to the QSFP+ Multi-Source Agreement (MSA).
